Product description

“Angelina’s first novel is virtually unputdownable: a delightful, wicked, deeply seductive fantasy with characters that leap off the page and a love story that has its reader yearning for more. Thank God there will be more installments to come. Read at your own peril – because you are going to get stuck and burn the midnight oil with this one: Angelina J. Steffort has crafted a deeply engaging world with a level of astounding detail. For an author’s debut, this is world-building at full power and romance writing as it should be.” (–Toni Weiss, Creative Partner & director @ Little Lights Studio)

“White is a thoroughly entertaining tale of Good vs Evil. Claire and Adam are two young adults living ordinary lives. When they meet, Claire unknowingly becomes a catalyst between the forces of good and evil. People and events are not always what they appear to be. The ending came as a complete shock! I can’t wait to see what happens next.” (–Donna Wolz, editor @ Wise Owls)

“I read, no, I swallowed the story. White has a great flow and the ending brings together nicely the storylines Angelina builds up throughout the whole book. It was easy to fall into the mystical love story between Claire and Adam. White is captivating and suspenseful. A real page turner.” (–Katharina Sabetzer, coach & writer @ erzählbar)

The writing in this book was so bad! I couldn’t even make it to page 60 before I gave up. This might have been a story I enjoyed as a teenager, as an adult the writing grates on me.

I absolutely loved it ❤️ i haven’t been able to put this book down since I started it 😭 I’ve laughed, cried, smiled, gotten mad, felt like I was Claire myself and jumped into the book.

Little too much dialog but was good. Going to try the second book in the series. Hopefully, it doesn’t go as slowly as the first.

    Great book!
I’ve promised the full review of this book way back in May, when I organized the tour for it via KC Book Promotions. However, you all know me, i get caught up with school, then my internship, then my relocation and packing 4 years of my life into boxes and suitcases and finally the holiday trips that just called me to read but not write. However, I kept in contact with Angelina and even got onto her Street Team – Angelina’s Celestials, btw, if you are interested check it out, we have fun there! Back to the topic, as i got to know that the second book would grace us with its presemce very soon Fall 2017, i finally remembered to write the review on the first book not to lose track of books, but before i reread it one more time just in case i missed anything and to keep the plot twists fresh in my mind.First of all, whoever, hasn’t read the book, i encourage you to do so! Don’t worry it’s not your usual Amgel book with a twist, though it is an Angel book with a huge twist! Next, i might accidentaly spoil something for you as some character do not appear until later in the book, but i really need to use them in my review for you to understand my thoughts! Ready? If you’ve already read the book, you would know that there are 2 main Ships (teams, couples, call them whatever ypu would like. However, I don’t understand how no one sees that one ship that would be so awesome if it ever came true! Knowing my luck, it never will…. But seriously have you never thought Claire and Ben would make an awesome couple? No? I guess i’ll just leave it for my famfiction writing then…Did I just get off track again? Sorry… Right, characters… My favourite charcter would be Jaden (after Ben of course, but then again we don’t get to see a lot of his character development, same as Jaden you can say, but what i saw of his i definitely like him more than Adam!). Who he is, i won’t tell you that, i donmt want to spoil the whole fun with that. Now let’s move to the main couple of the bok Claire and Adam. After rereading the book i finally understood what ticked me off so much in Adam, he just wasn’t my type of character. I totally liked him in the beginning but i did have a sense of foreboding from him, and i was not wrong. His whole i love you but you need to stay away was just too cliche. At least take Ben’s approach and be as intimidating as you can be, but no, he just clings to Claire without letting her go. Now, while i did love Claire, some of her character was still pissing me off. Maybe because i don’t get the love she was feeling towards Adam, but her resolve to walk away from Adam at ine point of the book impressed me immensely to later shout at her for being too submissive to Adam’s charm. However, she’s still a fantastic character, and like Jaden i’m also impressed with her for staying calm in all that situations, though he finale did break my heart alongside of Claire’s!!Last thing before i close my review, the author’s writing, she’s great! I lost myself in the book twice and that’s with the contents still quite vivid in my brain! I hope you will enjoy the book as much as I did!

    It was ok.
I felt like parts of the book were repeating itself however the twist within the book was nice. I feel like overall it was an ok book however I’d probably only read it once and never pick it up again.

An enjoyable first book by this author
I enjoyed the story though the editing was rough. I had to agree with some of the other readers that I liked Adam immediately, but Claire had a tendency to get on my last nerve. Then, I remembered how I was my last year of high school and into college. The age difference between the characters is definitely obvious by the maturity level of each.Insta-love is something that can turn people off, but I think we have to keep in mind that it is a story, and there are types of characters that have that immediate connection, which makes it rather expected. Shifter stories are the same. The insta-love is important because the fact that these particular characters, who might otherwise never find an attraction to each other, need that connection to make the story work. It made more sense from his perspective because of who and what he was. I liked that she questioned the rush of feelings she was having for him before falling completely.Yes, there were some timeline issues, and there were moments that made me question what they were thinking. But, if everything works out the way we expect, there would be no suspense and no reason for the story. Claire was a young adult who seemed to be more of an introvert and had a hard time coming out of her sheltered shell. I liked spending so much time in her mind as she discovered what her strengths were and where her fears were stemming from.I was constantly waiting to see what the shadows meant. And, I was on edge while waiting to see when the next demon would show up because I knew they would. The fact that Claire researched the subject and wanted to know more before accepting what was right before her eyes made it more believable. And instead of falling into an all-consuming relationship right away, they worked up to it because in the end, they needed to.The personalities of some of the demons were fun in a warped way. I like the way the secondary characters were written with vivid emotions and lives that were intertwined in the lead characters’ lives. And that cliffhanger was rather unexpected. I can’t even predict what might come of that. There were some problem areas, but I think the series has promise. And it’s a fine and engaging first book for this author. Well done. I look forward to the subsequent chapters in the continuing story.
