  1. Amanda McGregor

I bought this for my godson who is into marine science / biology. He is going to love it! Having received it, I now want to get one for Our home too. It’s stunning and really detailed – written for curious minds of all ages.

  5. Olivia

    Perfect thank you!
I got this as a present for my boyfriend for Christmas! He absolutely loved it and I was shocked at the size of it when it came! Great value for money and really great information which is also in depth.

  6. Stephen Lodge

    Excellent introduction to the subject
I bought this as a present for an eleven year old boy. I thought it would be too old for him but he loved it and read it in short order.

  7. The Essex Pumpkin

Superb – even as an ebook
The quality of coffee-table ebooks continues to be deplorable, even after a decade of opportunities to improve the situation. But this DK book is superb – by current standards – even as an ebook, and you don’t feel you are having to click to open a photograph, only to find a grainy, pixelated snap and then struggle to get back to where you were before. This book feels like you are looking at the printed book, with its superb photos and diagrams. The content is excellent too, with plenty of useful graphics and photos. The book is sold as a children’s book but it really is suitable for adults. I never felt I was reading dumbed-down text.DK continues to set the standard for quality non-fiction “big books” as they have done since the 1990s.

  8. minoru

    Fantastic and fascinating book!
This book appeals to all ages as my 3 year old great grand-daughter demonstrated as she looked with me at the pictures. She asks to look at it frequently. Oceanographer in the making? Great book and highly recommended.

The Science of the Ocean, The Secrets of the Ocean Revealed
I bought it as a gift for my nephew who was visiting from Australia, he wants to become a Marine Biologist and he was over the moon with the book. It was a lovely gift and very well received.

  10. Me

    Basic information.
Minimal, basic information that has been dumbed-down to an extent. Stuff that most people would know already. Might be good for children though.
