  1. Rachel Marie

    Spotlight Soccer Rating
One thing I disliked about the book was that some of the pages didn’t really work,Because I tried to go on next page, but..it wasn’t flipping. And if I could make thisBook, well…I would just think its a good book. Because its good in real life and well,Nothing would really happen!!

    8yo boy loved it
It’s a quick read, but my 8 year old really liked it. He especially liked how the main character is a good team player and likes to pass, not necessarily needing to score to feel successful. My mediocre soccer player appreciated that it wasn’t just being the star of the game that was celebrated.

  3. Fraulein Michaud

Graphic novel for young soccer lovers
My son liked it. He read it cover to cover in about 20 minutes. It’s a quick read for a 12-year-old but very entertaining.

  4. Ruth

    Perfect Condition
All the pages were in perfect condition and complete!

  5. HEDegs

    Good graphics, hardly any conversation
The graphics in the book are good, detailed and sharp. But most of the pages hardly have any conversation bubbles. There is hardly any conversation and a big part of it is the team arguing. If we kept it, my 8 year old could read it in 15 minutes or less.

  6. Kay

    Words are small
Great book but I wish the words were a little bigger.

  7. Brianna

    Awesome!
One of my students picked this as his reading reward and he was absolutely obsessed! I love the graphics and I love that the story is relatable to our students and the sports that they fall in love with.

  8. Pop Bop

    Better Than Average
These S.I. books are better written and drawn than expected. Each one addresses a “problem”, but they aren’t heavyhanded or preachy and have an authentic enough feel to pass a kid reader’s “baloney” test. A nice find.

  9. Katie Ward

    Easy read
My nephew and daughter found the the book to be an easy read. It kept them interested and read the book first time reading. They have also read it many times.

  10. Dina O.

Perfect for soccer playing 9 year old
Bought as gift, she loved the book and ease of soccer instruction on
