    Doesn’t guarantee you’ll pass
First and foremost, I have to say, I really f***** hate Organic Chemistry, as many STEM students do. I bought this book after seeing so many suggestions about it all over Reddit and RMP. Come to think of it, it’s highly suspicious that the students recommending this book were from a specific professor’s class. That’s neither here nor there. What is important to note is that this book was easy to read. It breaks down subjects in a way that is easy to understand. Orgo is complicated enough, no need to use unnecessary language or vocabulary (which happens a lot in bio and irks the s*** out of me). I did, however, feel that towards the end it was a little rushed or messy. I am not quite sure how to describe it. Maybe I was just overwhelmed with the topic in general but I started to lose focus towards the last few topics. It might be easier to download a PDF version of this book and open it on your iPad. That way you can go over the same problems over and over again without ripping up the pages with an eraser. Also, using this book doesn’t guarantee you’ll pass Orgo. I sure didn’t and get to take it again this summer but I think that has more to do with my professor and the time I devoted to this subject.

Best Organic Chem Resource – Period
Chemistry in general has always been a huge struggle for me. I have had little exposure to Orgo and am currently studying for the MCAT. You need to have basic understanding of chemistry for this book, this book is written in layman’s terms that makes it SO easy to understand the logistics of Orgo. It has hugely increased my practice test scores. I will definitely use it when I take Orgo 1 and 2.

    Missing pages, but great book.
My copy came with 20 missing pages but nonetheless, explanations are great. Very concise and saves my study time! Speaking from a 4th year biochemistry major relearning ochem for the mcat.
