Cute, short stories. Comes in a really nice little box to keep them all neatly together. My son is loving them

  2. Paul Andrewartha

    Grandson loves it

  3. Ross

    Great buy
These are perfect short stories for before bed!

  4. Rebecca

    Small
I was so disappointed when I received it and saw the size of it. It is very small

  5. Flutefingers

    Ok.
My grandson likes it, so full stars. But they are NOT progressive books. I read them to him. I like Bob Books for progressive short vowels, add in letters, then long vowels, then consonant blends.

  6. Farideh Sammak

    Good set of kids book
Good product, good selection of kids book .

    Adorable
Great tiny books. They come in a box to hold them. Not super durable but great for what they are!

    Not phonics books
I’ll preface this review with the fact that I am a primary school teacher as well as a mum so I’m looking at these books with two hats on, so to speak.I bought these because I was looking for phonics books that my son (5yo) would be able to read with me with him doing the bulk of the reading. However, it soon became apparent that these were well beyond his reach. The words are appropriate for children towards the end of year 1. The majority are multisyllabic or not decodable words. I’ve attached a picture. It’s a lot of different words that a very young child will struggle to maintain focus and attention with. Contrast this intro page with one from a phonics book from an accredited scheme and you’ll see what I mean. There’s also what appears to be errors in the books. For example, the second book focuses on the short e sound (like in “get”) but then the word “free” is in there, which is actually the long “ee” sound. I’ve attached a pic so you can see what I mean.As stories, they’re OK. But if you’re looking for something they can start to read themselves that ties into your school/child’s phonics learning/knowledge then these are not it.

    My Grandson Loves Them!
He has never been to school. So my daughter asked me to buy him some reading materials, etc. He LOVES Blaze, and he loves all things related to Blaze. Anyway, he has already started to read a bit after only 1 week! He has learned to spell the basics, cat…dog…you get the jist. So, if your grandchild or child also loves Blaze and the Monster Machines. Don’t hesitate! They are well worth the twelve bucks. Receiving them caused him to be so excited, and he wanted to get started, right away!My daughter adores being a Mother. Her boys are her whole life. So even if a supervising adult is even a tad bit interested in teaching a pre-kindergarten child….or even younger…GRAB THESE NOW!Hope this review helps. I am in no way compensated for this review. Just a very happy Mamaw! lol God bless you all!!! Love one another and be kind!!!
