  1. N R Matthews

Totally unsuitable for use in Italian classes as you need to turn multiple pages to keep up with the teacher which is embarrassing when called upon to read or answer a question when prompted. I had to buy the book as well, so my effort to be sustainable has cost me and I read now that “my window to return is closed???”

  2. Taline Telfeyan

    Italian made simple ☺️
    Very easy and simple made

Great Prep for your Trip to Italy
I’ve been telling family and friends who want to learn Italian about this book for decades. This new, revised version is even better! As a linguist and language teacher, I can highly recommend it for self-study. I only wish there were companion audio tools to complete the course.

  4. Laura

Facile per imparare. Mi piace che le lettere pronunciate dal cappello siano in maiuscolo.

  5. Europe

    all over the place
The organization of this book makes no sense at all and there is no way “one can master the Italian language from it” as it claims. At best, it might be useful as a refresher course for someone who already knows Italian and need some reminders on grammar and vocabulary. Right from the start, the book mixes complex grammar and vocabulary without any proper explanations and logic. It basically expects you to memorize it all without really understanding why and how nouns, adjectives, propositions, and verb tenses, etc are formed and used in Italian. It would start explaining a grammar concept, then drop it, then pick it up few chapters later, and so one. I’m in Italian 2 at my university right now (with a 98% grade) and I find this book totally confusing and useless.
