  1. Amazon Customer

Keeps my son on task for at least 30 minutes a day during the summer before he begins first grade. Will purchase the second grade edition soon so he’ll be ahead.

    Good Quality
Arrived quickly, are exactly as described, easy to use, great value for the money. My only wish, and the reason I docked a star, I wish there was a teacher’s page that showed me which pages can be combined into like a work packet for each day. I’ve not found one yet if it has it. Each subject is divided out into sections. So that’s my only down fall, wish it either advised which pages could be combined into daily work packets or that each page just ahead a combination of that days different subjects to work on.

    Son son likes it

    Not really age appropriate
Very easy to use but not age appropriate according to our school standards. My 3 year old was able to do most of my 7 year Olds book.

I couldn’t be happier with this book!
I bought two copies of this book in July to use in homeschooling my first grade twins. This is our first year homeschooling, and choosing the right curriculum was daunting, to say the least. When I found this book, the pages reminded me a lot of the Saxon Math and Saxon Phonics worksheets my kids had brought home from kindergarten in public school, except that they are far more colorful. I decided that I couldn’t really beat the price, so I gave the book a try.As of this week, we are halfway through the book and moving right along. Based on my conversations with parents of first graders in the local public school system, my kids are actually ahead of their peers. The best thing is, they are EXCITED to do their school work each day. They often ask for more work in the evenings! If that is not a good review of this book, I don’t know what is.My one and only complaint with the book is that there are often not enough pages dedicated to a particular concept. However, I have found that it is easy and fun to supplement the worksheets with games that we make up on our own. For instance, when learning beginning or ending consonant sounds, we would have races to find objects in the house that began or ended with the target letter that I would call out. This helped to really cement in the concept that had been studied in the book and present the same lesson in a different form.If you are teaching multiple children at home, I HIGHLY recommend getting each child his or her own copy of the book. I considered buying one book and photocopying the pages for each of my children, but the cost of the book is likely less than I would have spent on paper and ink. I also DEFINITELY recommend buying a 2 inch binder and tearing out each page as you work on it. The book is very thick and does not bend open easily… tearing out the pages allows for much better handwriting form and it allows you to skip back and forth easily from the math to the reading sections.

Great but math is too easy
Used this book to keep my daughter from losing too much of what she learned over summer break. She enjoyed the book but I tore out the math section and replaced with something the school gave us because the math section in this book is waaaaay too easy. If you have a student who is above average I would go up a grade level. It’s pretty easy but works great to just brush up on subjects

  7. Damary

    Great layout and attention keeping
We are impressed with the layout and design. It definitely keeps us engaged and there are many activities

  8. Angie

    Great review
This was great review for my daughter who is in first grade and had done in K. Over the summer break and pandemic had lost some knowledge but it was a quick review for her

  9. Mary

Cute book – Great for add on activities for homeschoolers
I use this as an add on to my existing homeschooling curriculum. It’s good to provide additional practice and round out the other curriculum.

homeschooling is now possible because of this product.
I live in Southern California now and my nephew lives in the midwest, where I am from. My mother who is caring for him was attempting to homeschool him. She had been told by school administration that she needed supplies, and a vertain book, this book! She had looked at some local stores and was unable to find it. As she had told me what was going on I wanted to do anything I could to help! So, as we were talking one night over the phone I asked her what the title of the book was. As she told me, I did a very quick search on amazon and instantly found this product. I was very happy to not only find the book, but to be able to purchase it for a very reasonable price. Less than 20 dollars for a complete curriculum of 1st grade! So, I ordered it with regular delivery and it arrived within about 8 days to my mom. My mom, nephew, and myself are all very happy : ) DO ORDER
